Machida deserves the shot. He finished his last couple of fights decisively and has become one of my favorite fighters to watch. I don't know how the odds-makers see it but I think he can knock out Rashad, even though Rashad has been looking real good himself.

i don't see machida knocking him out. a knockout is the last thing i'm counting on. i can however see machida toying with him for the duration and playing the elusive game he does with everyone. i do see a very confused and agitated rashad leaving the cage a loser wondering why the fuck he couldn't tag him though.

He did choke out Sokoudjou and knocked out a very tough Thiago Silva recently. I hope he can continue being that exciting. Rashad is going to be his toughest fight yet.

This fight might be a boring! fight, these two fighters are very unorthodox in the way they fight. They might cancell each other out, on one hand you have a BJJBB and on the other hand a great college wrestler, who now has become a good standup fighter.

We will see who losses their paitience and makes the first mistake.
