well i dont know what type of deal you where into it, but here my :2c:

if it was a biz partnership its quite logic that every biz bears risk, from total failure to total success thats why u usuall get plenty of money out of it when it succeeds, on the other hand when it fails well money lost. but thats like that freakin everyhwhere, if could get back any money i invested in possible business i could retire immediately, but no pain no gain.

on the other hand i can fully understand those sitebuilding guys which invested money and most of that was for those folks very hard earned or saved, and did get basically nothing back, well i was one of those folks as well,

i totally agree that there is some pattern i see with all the stuff i recently heard, read about micky, the complaints.com article from stodan, what crockett said, sounds pretty similar to me follows somewhat along the same pattern.

nevertheless i got a funny question: in my home country we have a saying, freely translated it would prolly mean, you can´t get something out of someone which dont have a thing, so i think it probably a good public statement to give a public warning about people whith those patterns,

Nevertheless i really doubt he has such a beautiful life there in curacao, from what i know, cause he needed to pay off some of his debt he needed to sell xlxx.com and believe me he took the worst possible time to sell a site ever cause the economic downturn had already started and since i know the rough pricing range which xlxx was sold, due some of my partners wanted to buy her as well that time, believe me when i say the price was insanely cheap nothing where you actually could retire with.

so i have the slight impression some of you guys think that he lives in paradise and has the life everbody is dreaming about, - seriously i highly doubt that, thats prolly what most of us are thinking when we hear someone is living in the carribean, yeah sounds like paradise payed from our money. No we dont sound like jealous jerks. LOL

in those econmic times we need every penny way more than we used to need them 2 years ago, at least that applies for me. so sure we are often looking around where some of our money is still stuck, and trying to get it back asap. i ll truly understand that, since its the same for me, and without saying numbers i am pretty close to the amount you invested vince.

still my :2c: for biz partnerships and similar i would say hey thats just the normal risk you have everywhere, be a man and admit as you already did your greed drove you into this, and yes you should have listened to your wife (and isnt it easy to say later i have told you so, i am sure she did on lots of other things which succeeded, if not? - lesson learned do what your wife says in future, and that lesson did only cost you 25K, but blame yourself)
imo, if micky did fucked us all up by purpose which some here might believe he will pay a 100 times what he did to others, remeber the carma is a bitch thingie! i believe micky is aware of that, so i really can´t look inside his brain and tell you what he´s really thinking so i can only speak for myself, my situation

i lost XX.XXX amount of money during the sitebuilding cause of my way of thinking of it, i lost a focus cause i was listening to other people which where telling me really ugly shit about micky after a few weeks after i payed the money upfront. the only one i can blame is me. no one else.

i just would tend to think of if i ll give him time and peace of mine, or a 2nd chance he then might have the chance to pay his debt to us off - in this lifetime. as i already mentioned it, there are only 2 options

1) he´s really good in telling us believable stories on his situation, and in real he´s enjoying life at its best, for our money and he just keeps lying about it
then ---> Carma is a Bitch, and none of us would be in his skin, maybe not now but time will come very very soon
or
2) really deep shit happend to him, he´s aware thats all his fault, he can´t blame others for it, (same as we can´t blame him LOL) he have to get on his feet again, to make a reasonable living for him and his family and as soon he got his basics covered he can starting paying us off

Micky is a scammer and he scammed more than a few people over the past years.
Yes he was living like a king in Curacao with other people's money, i have friends that watched him spending huge amounts of cash on all sorts of bullshit like his own personal servants and rental cars and expensive housing food and whatnot.

If you are 200K in debt like he claims than i am pretty sure he was already in debt when he borrowed my money. Micky told me lies and made promises he didn't keep. He assured me to sell his sites to be able to pay me back as a money back guarantee, well, guess what? i never seen a penny from the money he got for xlxx.com.

He lied about cash wires he did to me that took ages to reach my bank and sometimes even never arrived. I mean.. come on, a wire that takes 1.5 month? i call bullshit!

Yes, Micky doesn't really have a good life in Curacao now but i am pretty sure that he was out of people to scam. He tried shady deals with friends of mine but they didn't bite and didn't lose their cash.

Micky never ever said sorry or kept me informed about status which tells me he gives a fuck!

Please don't blame me for this OIL, he is the one that fucked people over not me, i do agree that doing business with people has risks involved but what he did was pure scamming me from large part of the money i borrowed him. He owes big amount of people cash for never paid work. Micky was a master at getting stuff for free with all sorts of wonderful promises he never kept. Anyway, maybe you are still naive if it comes to Micky. I was in denial for a while as well.

i am still owed by micky as well, nothing huge, but the mere fact that he kept making appointments with me to settle it and every fucking time something came in between made me realise my moneys were gone, then he left for antilles and i knew it for sure my money was gone ;)

I know the person who wrote this very well and can confirm this story. I even think he is still being kind to them and spares them. I have more then once adviced him to pay a Jamaican guy to talk to Michael. Something similar has allready happened about 10 years ago when he was living in India. People there are still looking for him.
The person mentioned from Sweden is DamageX. I hope Damage X will come and tell his story. The person from canada is Chelsea Bottoms who worked for Python some time.

Mickey Ams came to the island on my invitation. He was staying in my house the first period living of my hospitality. I introduced him to my network there. I was making twice what he was earning. He was spending 10 times the amount I did. He may have sold cheap but I am sure he needed to because some people went in to collect debts the hard way.

I am terribly sorry to hear that Godsmack(Vince) and Crocket, Boneless and to any others who have been scammed by them, those that have been following this thread I wrote that letter to Lorraine, who was also ripped off by Michael Robert Ek and Leela Hartong, she (Lorraine) owns and runs the 3w.japalouppe.net ranch. Her story is almost identical to mine. She almost lost her entire horse ranch because of the actions of said people.

When I was down there in Curacao living with Mike and Leela, I heard of you Godsmack and Boneless when I was down there , I am really sad that I couldn't warn you at the time telling you what was happening to me. Especially if you have children. Your money could have been better spent, let me give you a breakdown of " extravagant costs"

And just for anyone that still has their mind in a cloud of denial or is a "doubting thomas", and thinks that there might be still some chance that Mike and Leela have money to pay you back. The fictious partnership does not exist, and never did. This "Partnership Deal" existed only to finance Mike and Leela desire for a good time. :

While was I down there the money was spent on:

- Servants (500 USD per months)

- Rental Jeep/Pickup truck (cost was quite a bit more then a regular car rental) (cost was 1900.00 USD per months)

- House Cost (2500.00 USD per months)

- There was a period where We( Mike, Leela, and I) went out to eat every single day. (cost was approx 150+ USD per day about 4500 USD per months or more if there were guests invited).

- Also alot of money went out for flying people back and forth first class or direct flights from Holland, Sweden, Canada to Curacao(Some of the people were Chelsea Bottoms(ex Python Employee), Vicky(Chelsea girlfriend), Marcel Sas(askdamagex), and Michael Robert Ek.

So total cost was just shy of 10'000.00 USD per months, Mike's site(xlxx.com) earned at most 5'000.00 per months back in 2007/08. So he needed to take at least another 5000.00 USD per months out of someone else's pocket to meet Leela Hartong, and his, "high standards" of living. So I have to figure that there are probably others out there that are still silent and in denial. Peter from Pandamovies.com was paid back money the money he lent to Mike when he sold the site(xlxx.com) The rest of us are still waiting and left holding the bag...

Right now I have a deal in place with Mike that he promised to pay me off in very small increments, he has done this before and then stopped and disappeared, so I don't know how long he will keep up these payments. Right now at the rate he is paying off the debt it will take about 14 years to pay off.

Mike has forced me to take action, I have had to secure my position. Why you ask?...well for me it was not just the money.....it got real fucking personal, I mean REALLY personal, while I was down there living with Mike and Leela.

It might be time for others to take action as well, the way I see it, there are 6.8 billion people on this planet, and there are no shortage of "bad" people...

Mike if you are reading this, "GOD Help You" if you put me on hold again...As we have already discussed my patience with you is at an end.....

I reported him to the Dutch authorities last week.. he will get a hard time getting back in to the Netherlands..it will probably not result in getting my money back but it might at least keep people from dealing with him..

Last time i talked to Micky (last week over ICQ) he told me that he is $200k in debt and only has about $100 a month to spend.. but he assured me he would start paying me back asap.. LOOOOOOOL.... $200k in debt and than he assures me he will start paying me back.. yeah right....
