So the Top studios on Clips4sale......
are the top moneymaking studios on that site? If so, one of the top five studios shoots right here in my city...Maybe I can observe how he operates.

It is my understanding that they rank "Top Studios" as the stores that sell the highest number of clips. Not the highest money-making stores. So, if you sell 4 x $5 videos, you're ranked 4 times higher than a store that sells 1 x $20 video. Now, the odds are that the stores that sell the highest number of clips are also in the highest money-making category. I'm just telling you what I heard.
I got that about a year ago from an employee so it may have changed since then but probably not.
