General Motors : 'Substantial doubt' about survival

I think in the end of this year that we will see many old brands gone in various markets..

If this global depression last 4-5 years , what company have the stamina to stay afloat so long ?

GM should have thought more about alt fuel vehicles instead of gas guzzlers, this is no surprise, any bailout going to them is throwing money into a fire, no amount can change their decades of bad choices and lack of push for fuel efficient vehicles.

The American car companies will fall first. The other companies will be right behind them. While everyone is mocking and laughing at the Big Three, all of the other car companies are having issues as well. If I understand correctly the only car company that is doing decent is Kia.

The truth is no one can get credit right now, and without credit no one can buy cars - no matter what brand they are. This is going to be interesting to watch (and sad really when you consider the jobs that will be lost) and I can't wait to see what will come up out of the ashes.
