And in the US, I would not trust one single person. And that is after I had been living there for 2+ years. These stats speak for themselves http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/uscrime.htm

Well each there own. I no longer live in the US but i definitely feel safer in the US then some other countries. But comparing it to Europe, I can see it but Russia? My Russian friends have offered to take me many times and they always mention the crime issue.

OK ... so I'd say:

Mexico - the parts where kidnappings and drug wars are going down
Guatemala/El Salvador - I hear Gangs own those countries and even charge taxes to local businesses :(
Israel - If you are not afraid of bombs/bullets and rockets then ur fine! :)
Iran/Irak/Afganistan/Pakistan - see Israel for references
Countries in central Africa - I heard someone describe it as "Sello do mondo" du no what he meant....

.... I know there are several countries I have to add but those are the ones I remember ....

rayadp05 03-04-2009 05:28 AM

Would love to take a trip over to Iraq to shoot (and fuck) some of those Iraqi girls but I would never go there due to the fucked up laws, regulations as well as the war shit. Some of those middle eastern bitches are fucking hot. :thumbsup

Well we are in pretty good company as the top ten seem like a decent list of places too visit and feel safe. just my opinion.

How long has she been missing now? I can't imagine dealing with a situation like that with no answers.

Margarita was pretty nice though. Not a single rainy day, great beaches, and cheap services/food/booze.

On the way out, we flew from the Porlamar (Margarita) airport to Trinidad & Tobago and then to Miami to avoid having to go back to Caracas.

I once read that Margarita could be a nice place to buy property and live.
But looks like it might not be that safe after all, and if you buy a condo there, there could theoretically even take it away from you at some point, as long as Chavez rules?
I may sound ignorant, but don't know much about that... never ever been to that region yet...

It might also be that there are a lot of Americans on here who do not feel very welcome there. Islamic fundamentalist govt trying to build the bomb seems a bit of risk to want to go say hi. Add in that i have never heard anything fun or interesting about Tehran or Iran and I could see me writing it off pretty fast.

I guess it depends on what country do you coame from :) I doubt they welcome Americans just like any other tourists :)

Also, its not only about crime, that is for sure almost non existing due to crazy laws, its about some shit you can accidentally fall into and having to face the reality which can be very cruel especially when you are not a muslim.

I gotta say I was pretty shocked anyone would say USA other then to stir shit or something. The large cities have bad areas but they are easy to identify. In these areas you might encounter some shit and you might not.

I live in a dangerous country and when you are in the wrong part of town here you are well aware of it, and you are in danger.

polish_aristocrat 03-05-2009 07:52 AM

just took a look at Venezuela, seems pretty hardcore from their description (safety, crime)

Sorry for missing this post, Yea i %50 agree with Your post.

some western people might face with troubles with the lifestyle they got use to, but about the welcoming side, for example: 3 years ago, there was an American friend of mine, He was a student at the University that i m still studying and He went to Syria with one Other Foreigner friend and He said, people were pretty warm to them.

i don't think, the People of those countries have much problem with an Ordinary American, They're most likely mad at USA Government.

The most dangerous country where I have been is South Africa. There is an awful tension in the air. 3 people tried to pick my wallet up in the same day.

Wha? I lived there for over two years (right in downtown) and NEVER had any problems. I mean, if you go walking alone in 5th ward at night with a "FUCK NI**ERS" shirt, you're gonna get shot, but besides that Houston's not a bad place, imho.

polish_aristocrat 03-06-2009 10:53 AM

Ok, now I guess it would be a cool idea to travel to the countries mentioned the most ;)
