Film - Revolver

Film - Revolver

Watched this last night. It got bad reviews however as I am a big Guy Richie fan I thought it was good. Not as good as lock stock, snatch or rock n rolla, however still worth watching if you like those type of films.

Plot
----
After seven years in solitary, Jake Green is released from prison. In the next two years, he amasses a lot of money by gambling. He's ready to seek his revenge on Dorothy (Mr. D) Macha, a violence-prone casino owner who sent Jake to prison. He humiliates Macha in front of Macha's lieutenants, leaves, and keels over. Doctors tell him he has a rare disease and will die in three days; Macha also puts a hit out on him. Loan sharks, Zack and Avi, demand Jake's cash and complete fealty in return for protection. Jake complies, and through narration and flashbacks, we watch him through at least three days of schemes, danger, and redemption. Who is his greatest enemy?

Good film, but not as good as Lock Stock, Snatch or Rocknrolla imo

Not as bad as Cast Away, but very close to being Guy's worst film ever. I watched the original version, before they realized it was complete shit and pulled it from cinemas for re-editing, and I can sum it up in one word; Terrible.

Really fucking bad film.

Revolver is a great film. Not sure why so many people did not like it. I guess they were expecting Snatch2 and could adjust. It has some flaws but is brilliant none the less.

it was good for entertainment, but I'd rather go with "Rockarolla", let alone "Lock stock and two smoking barrels" or "Snatch"

I saw a version of it a few years ago, and would sum it up as a cock teaser of a movie ie promised so much, started well but in the end left you unsatisfied. I don't know if it was later edited, but I assume it must have been for people to like it cos the version I saw just disappeared up its own ass in the end.

It's not as got the style of lock stock or snatch but it is definitely watchable, and if you like this kind of UK movie, you will probably like also "the Layer Cake", starring a pre James Bond, Daniel Craig.

I though RockNrolla was a great film...

1) lock stock
2) snatch
3) rocknrolla
4) revolver...

I may even switch #2 & 3 around, but would have to watch snatch again, its been a while.

I've been a big Guy Richie fan for a long time,

it had a few decent moments, but overall this movie was awful.

It was kind of a mess, but there was some pretty deep shit to think about at the end.

Now RocknROlla was the tits!
