What do you guys recommend? Currently looking at gandi, but prefer something even further offshore than the EU (FR). I am sure I will get asked why, but lets just say I want to keep some stuff away from the US, EU. Feel free to hit me with ref codes.

Actually namecheap is quite fine for spam domains. That isn't what it is for.

If it's a .com, .net, .org, .us, and others it doesn't matter where the registry is located all of the names originate on US soil. If you want to go to a certain country for whatever reason I suggest that countries ccTLD.
