    I mean seriously...
it's not only about porn, but also about other media, including established hollywood labels... sure it's impossible to fight that completely, but at least it should be limited to some small number sharing groups. What we see today is a fact that 99% of all media ever released are easy to find in a few minutes if you know as much as that one url.

i'm just wondering how well illegal giants like pornbb.org, thepiratebay.org, rapidshare.com (all they are different, but have tons of stolen content in common) are

from time to time we read news about closing illegal rights violation groups (like torrent trackers, warez portals) and some members even go to jail, but i can't remind any worldwide significant content stealing resource got in trouble.

hosting companies and registrars just don't follow any rules against copyrights violation or what?

Lawyers cost 300 to 500 an hour and it could run up to xxx.xxx to x.xxx.xxx to find out these P2P's are protected by 300 different countries with different millions of laws.
The flaws in the law are the reason it all exists. Without universal law specific worldwide it's a dead end and you will loose your lawsuit money in 99% of the cases.

There are countries with NO copyright laws, unsufficient laws or ones full of flaws.
There are countries with secure bank secrets or offshoring and there is virtual money.
There are anonimous domain registars. A domain can be used or rented out.
Hosts have different laws to uphold then consumers.
      etc. etc.

who cares about all these 3rd world countries. we are talking about US, Ca, EU, Aus which have strong laws against rights violation. and there're many US based companies which are in business relations with thieves. once they stop dealing with them thieves would be defeated (in world wide scale).
