I'm not a soccer/football fan but I did watch some of the Fed cup when the US played and saw a special on ESPN's outside the lines on the World Cup. My question is what is that noise that sounds like an angry bee hive that goes on through the entire match? What makes it? I have to admit it sounds eerily cool whatever it is.

Actually....during the Outside the Lines show yesterday they did show a couple fans with these things, but they never referenced why they had them. Along with those wooden noisemakers I'm starting to understand.
