well if you're looking to put 2k you should go for the lease with the option to buy. I forget the word for this, but its something the dealer won't tell you about. Basically its just like financing only you can get out of it at the end of 36 months. with 2k down on a new escalade you'd have a very high monthly lease payment. you'd be better of at least using that money towards buying the car. Unless of course you are leasing a car under your company name.... then the lease is the way to go.

I hope you aren't near the city -- you will be all fucking scratched and dented up the first week with a big ass vehicle like that. And your lease contract will be fucking you up the asshole. You will be an easy target for renegade taxis... heheehe...

It's called a "Balloon Payment" that they nail the shit out of you with

On another note they are roughly 54 grand without any heavy options with 2600 down on a lease you are looking at another 2 grand in Misc fees and taxes and a payment of around 800 bucks a month.

no.. im not referring to buying the car after the completion of the lease, Im referring to buying the car as if it were financed from the beginning with the option to simply exit after 36months.

ahhh... I believe its called a "buyers option" or something like that

The Escalade sucks, take a look at the new Navigator's, they drive much better than the Escalade.

Aren't Cadillacs for old retired people living in Arizona?

When you lease it's called called a drive off fee which is ususally first and last month lease plus tax and reg. They sell a 12k and 15k mile package a year which the first year I gurantee you will do more then 15k. You get fucked on leases no matter how you look at it unless you can write off the loss towards your business. 3k down and about 750 a month on a 3 year lease is the going rate.

GM I think sucks these days. You buy a new vette and the thing starts to rattle in 6 mos. Escalades have nice power but noisy. Naviagators are much more quiet inside but less power. I have owned both vehicles and NOTHING I MEAN NOTHING was a better car then my 98 Landcruiser. Aside my Bmw the Landcruiser was the best car I have ever owned and will outlast any SUV out there including the mercedes. All wheel drive and it had posi lockers front and rear you could mud bog and climb anything with that cruiser. But now they look so small compared to everything else. And 60k to me is insane for a jap car.

You get boned on a lease no matter what. And if you have a trade in you get superboned. Always sell your trade privately in the Autotrader. You can go to any car buying websites and they have payment calculators all over the place.

EXTENDED WARRANTY-Bullshit dont go for that
PAINT PROTECTOR-Bullshit

The only thing finance can sell me IF I BUY the car is lojack. The rest they can stick up there ass. emember the lease finanace guy will upsell you as much as he can after you have dealt with the sales crew. He can easily bump you 1 interest point and make 1500 bucks. Car people are the biggest crooks in the world.

1 inch thick gold chain with dollar sign

you shouldn't pay more than $650/mo with 12k miles/yr on a 36 mo lease and should be about $1500 down with tax/tag/title. If you are get the Navigator.

I just leased a Lincoln BlackWood $52k sticker with nothing outta pocket and pay $480. Thats on a D plan and my friend is the GM of The Lincoln dealership in Tampa so I scored.

But seriously I shoped the Navigator first and $650 is about what he could do for me with no D plan and the dealership making $500 on the deal.

I owned a 2003 Navigator for the shortest period of time. After 60 days I had to sell it because I could NOT stand driving it. Nice options, HORRIBLE drive train and usual FORD issues. It was in the shot TWICE in 60 days. Also at 60 MPH or faster the steering wheel shakes, I asked the service dept about it and they said yeah there isn't much we can do about it and a lot of folks have complained.

However, I absolutely love my Escalade. I've owned 20 months or so now when the first 2002 came out in Feb of last year. Its fast (350 ponies), rides like a dream, big lazy boy chairs, and great to drive.

You could wait for 60 mo 0% financing and get in one for about $1000 a month or so... Its well worth it!

Pick up a Durango R/T.

Plenty of power and lotsa room....Priced lower than the Navigator or Escalade and very few maintenance problems.

Escalade has serious build quality issues.

Anyways pay cash when you buy it. I always use the shrink wrapped $10k bundles.
