Yes. As the model who works for us had said, she prefers to say Persia because people do not associate one with the other (i.e. Iran) and her mother had told her to do it because of 9-11.

I cant' say that is why ALL people say it. I think it has more to do with speaking Farsi, and proud heritage. Semantics aside. If they says Persian, they are more than likely Iranian.

this is correct, but the Shah worked very hard in making 'persia' equatable to Iran
