I am not defending Bush, that is not my point AT ALL. My point is that everyone hated Bush no matter what decision he made, and just like you did here, they put the blame fully on Bush. Now it will be fun to watch people go out of their way to NOT blame Obama when he is faced with similar decisions as Bush was, because Obama is going to have to deal with the same shit Bush had to deal with over the past 7 years. Why just this week Obama increased the effort by 17,000 more troops into Afghanistan and I do not see 50 hate threads saying how he is killing people. Only one, this one!!! Well they had to give him a pass, if you want to call it that, when it first happen because Clinton, Edwards, Binden, Daschle, Rockefeller, Reid, Feinstein, and othes voted for the war, and other countries shared the same conclusions as we did at the time, so it was kinda hard for them to put the blame fully on him. I believe after these people started to claim they were against the war, that is when the media began their attack of Bush Lied People Died. Well they didn't say that, they just went out of their way to film the people who did. Bingo. Finally some sense in this thread. I heard it said several times before he was even elected that his plan included a shift in forces away from Iraq and more into Afghanistan, why this is now coming as some big shocker to some I have no idea.

Fighting over there doesn't just stop the second there's a change of president, it's going to take years (likely decades) to extricate from the mess over there, hopefully cleaning up at least some of it in the process. Do people really think it was going to be otherwise?

Too bad we'll never know what McCain would have done different.

No one expects Obama to have anything dealt with in 30 days. But the bias that is going on for Obama is what is wrong. Everyone, including yourself, hates Bush and everything Bush did. So what are you going to do when Obama makes the same type of decisions that Bush made? Are you going to get just as pissed as you did when Bush made those decisions? Like the thread states where is all the uproar over Obama's authorization of 17,000 troops into Afghan theater? And the draw down in Iraq has been happening for almost a year, since the success of the serge, are you going to say Obama started that?
