Its tough when you move away from home. Same thing here. A lot of family still in the northeast and I'm down south.

My mother's sister got killed in a tragic car accident last year in her 70's. I hadn't seen my Aunt for about 7 years and your closeness fades naturally with time and distance, so it was hard to have the same kind of emotional response like the rest of the family was having who still live up there. My mother got real wigged out about why I was not as upset as everyone else.

my condolences fletch and thanks for the advice.

I've come to that conclusion recently myself, we really need to take the time to appreciate who we have while they're still there cuz we're all doomed to go eventually....and it almost always comes very unexpectedly and then it's too late.

I think a lot of us are so caught up being workaholics, we all need to take a step back and really think about what's really important.
