    Anyone Here Live In Columbia?

    one of my friends is there on vacation in Medellin and he says its awesome..

    hot girls, love americans and $50 a night for a 3 bedroom penthouse in the nicest part of town..

    he says its very safe and the clubs there are great..

    anyone live there ot been there and can offer an opinion?

    i am going to go next trip in may..

                                      stay away from the jungle areas, etc.

                                                                          I remember the first time I went to Costa Rica and I had been surfing all day and was starving for some food. We went to a restaurant and it took forever to get waited on and I was about to go ballistic when my friends informed me that's just the way they do it.
                                                                          Took a little adjusting but I was able go with the flow.

(i.e. shot in head and left in ditch). There are places in Colombia (kinda like "the jungle" in LA) where cops don't go...Too dangerous.

                                                                                                              I agree that it's MUCH less dangerous than it used to be, but just be careful (like anywhere else in the world), because it's true what PornGuy said...

                                                                                                              On a happy note, have fun! Colombia is freakin' amazing and the people are beautiful, welcoming and polite (despite the dangers caused by the pesky cocaine/guerilla war problems ).
