Where can I find watches like this?

without having to pay $2000+

i'm only interested in the "classical" look, dont care too much about the brand

dont want huge steel watches with all sorts of extras

Ebay?

You could take a look at some vintage Heuer "Carrera"s, IWCs or Jaeger LeCoultre "memovox"

Call me cheap, but I wear a Fossil. http://www.fossil.com - they've got some classic looking ones like that. Cost is like $90-$200.

Yeah Fossil is the way to go if you don't care about brands, movements, build quality etc, and just want something that looks good. Check out the outlet stores and they'll have hundreds to choose from.

For an inexpensive, elegant watch, you can't beat the Mondaine Swiss Railways Watch. Elegant modern design, easy to read (the face was designed for maximum readability across a Swiss railroad platform) and you'll probably get change back from your $200.

Ebay is a great spot, I've bought several watches on there. Check out IWC watches if you are looking for something that is more classical.

If you like that, check out Skagen. The cool Danish design is original -- I think that Fossil is a knockoff.

Again, $200 or less. I'm cheap, what can I say?

Take a trip to St Maarten. You can't find a cheaper watch with license of authenticity anywhere int he world than there. Rado watches for excellent prices. That's where I bought mine

If I wanted to go nuts, I'd get something from Vulcain (not available in the U.S.) or maybe the Glycine Airman 7 (although I have no use for three different times + GMT).

In the meantime, it's fun to browse.
