He is trying to get these girls more work and I am pretty sure that Joel is happy about that. And I am also sure that Joel has no issue with Easton using a few pics to drum up more business for him and the girls.

I do this sometimes and so do others because of this reason.... if its a girl that I am flying in and have not met her yet and didnt shoot with her yet, how could I show pics that I shot? You need to show prospective buyers something. Maybe next time I do that I'll be sure to mention that these were not my pics and maybe he could too but perhaps that will make sense to you.

I understand where you are coming from. I'm not against anybody here trying to get themselves or the model work. I felt like he was trying to pass off his work as my own. That's all. If it was clear he did not shoot the photos I wouldn't have brought anything up. I don't even care if he credits me, just that it's not misleading that those are his photos.

Brandon, if it was my pics I would be pissed as well. The least he could have done is credit you as the photographer or indicated they came from the modeling agency which I assume has your credit listed with them.

Not a cry me a river statement at all JP.

If you haven't had your work stolen or credited to someone else yet, get ready for the nice feeling of having your rectum stretched wide open without lube. I have had it done multiple times and it pisses me off to no end each time it happens.

We all work hard to promote ourselves day in and day out. I would absolutely want my name next to my shots, especially if it's another photographer using them in any purpose.

The Internet has made everyone feel like once a picture is put up it's public domain. At the very least, Easton should have put a credit indicating the pics were taken from the GoldStar Modeling site.

There was a period when they had different workflows. I used to agent, do the site, and shoot for them a while back. If there weren't watermarks on the photos it was because they had someone in the office that wasn't trained on how to do it.

I'm bookmarking this thread and adding it to my folder marked "Things That Can Easily and Effectively Be Handled Better On ICQ Or Email Than On GFY."

That thread didn't say "here are examples of my work", it said here are examples of what the model looks like. It didn't say "I just shot these pics" it said I am GOING TO be working with this model. That seems very clear to me....

If it didn't seem clear to you, send Easton a message on ICQ or email, his email address is IN THE THREAD you are upset about. Then the two of you can handle the matter like gentlemen.

yup that's how i see it too.. I've known Easton for many years and he is a stand up guy. He does this type of thing a lot where he will post agency photos to get work for a model he is shooting soon. I don't think he is trying to claim he shot anything and if you should be mad at anyone it's Gold star for not watermarking these photos like they did others to clearly show..

It seemed better than just putting up a link to her GSM profile. Since you say that you took the pictures, then any credit is due to yourself and Goldstar.
