Awesome deal.
|
We have a couple of servers at NatNet and have been very happy with them for the most part. :) Our blog hosts are hosted there and a tgp server with over 100 active tgps. Support is fast... post a ticket and have an answer within minutes. My only complaint is that sometimes the techs don't read the whole ticket when they switch shifts (or something) and sometimes don't do exactly what you asked for in the first place... but I think the majority of that can be cleared up with precise communication... something I sometime FAIL at.
|
Also, email can be a pain in the ass with NatNet because (at least in my case) they have locked it down to my ip and since I am on Time Warner cable I have a dynamic ip... so I end up not being able to send email from my local box unless I have them update the ip. We have also experienced some downtime occasionally... once was due to a bad script they ran that caused a problem with their firewall for a bunch of servers and another time their DNS was being DDos's at 6GBps... but I think that both situations were something that any host could have experienced.
When I login to the account admin there has been the same message for some months... Quote:

Can you please contact me at bill AT nationalnet DOT com about this? Announcements should only show up until you click the "acknowledgement" button, then you should never see it again, so it's possible that there is an issue with your account in mynatnet. With regards to your email being locked down by IP, I want to get more information about that as well as that doesn't sound quite right... Thanks -- Bill |

WOW!!!
After a little more than 24 hours the demand has been AMAZING!! It would not surprise me if we add more new customers this year than we did the last time...and I never thought we could add that many customers in such a short period of time!!! Keep 'em coming everybody....this is FUN!!! :thumbsup --T |
so after 12 months the monthly price'll stay the same ? Also my current host ( webair ) adds me some bw from time to time for free - is it pricey to get a small bandwidth increase in natnet ? This offer looks very teasing....

With regards to your question, that's very hard to say because there is no way of knowing where things will be in 1 year. As the previous poster stated, if you're at a host you're unhappy with, that's the customer we're looking for. If you're happy with your current host, then you should stay there :thumbsup If you have additional questions, you can email me at sales AT nationalnet DOT com -- Bill |

Let me expand on that just a little bit just to let everyone know that this is not a program where we plan to jack up your rates at the end of the 12 month period. In fact, in the history of NationalNet we have never raised anyone's rates including the four years of our price match promotions. I just don't want anyone to think that there is some sort of master plan to raise rates at the end of the 12 month period. We are just not that diabolical ;) --T |

So...I hope that clears this up :) -- Bill |

DDOS attacks can be a nightmare to manage, lets say you erase that 8-10 hours, how close is their uptime to 100% other than that? |
I knew it would happen at some point during this special...I even warned my staff about it ahead of time....the haters would come out at some point and try to rain on our parade but I am cool with it. The one thing that I always remember is that the bigger you are the larger the target you wear on your back.
I want to address their concerns though because it is important to me..... More than anything you should know this.....They are right. Last year we did have a couple of issues. I will not run from it. I will not hide from it. What I can tell you is that in more than 12 years that I have been in this industry I have always stood behind my products 100% of the time and when issues arise they are dealt with swiftly and correctly. I have never guaranteed anyone perfection...nobody can.....what I can guarantee is that my customers have every asset at my disposal to insure the best service available. I guess I cannot be too unhappy with 12 years of ALMOST perfect service....I think my track record speaks for itself. Now...on a TOTALLY UNRELATED note..... If you ever want to find out what someone is really interested in simply click their name on their post and click the link that says "FIND MORE POSTS BY {USERNAME}" and just look at the thread titles. That is usually all it takes to decipher someones motives. If you were to do it to me, for example, you will find that I post in sports threads, humor threads, and yes, even hosting threads. Why? Because I work in the business and this has a direct impact on me. Remember that everyone on this board has a motive....some are just more clearly defined than others. Everyone knows that I am here to sell hosting. Isn't it obvious? Some other people are here to sell their products and not be so obvious. While others are here to learn how to make their business better, yet others are here to try to destroy others. Once you learn this it is really fun to sit back and watch the way the dynamics work on this board. It makes for an interesting day ;) Anyway, that was just some useless information that I thought I would share.....we will call it the SweetT GFY Tip of the Day...for FREE ;) --T |

Actually it was AliGbone that brought it up, no need to pick on me mate, and I wasnt pissing on anyone, i was simply stating a fact from what I read on this board in posts made by nat net customers themselves as well as others.:2 cents: I hope they do well with this offer as I do believe many people may be unhappy with their current hosts and might actually want to try out natnet and nows their chance.:pimp |
