no but i am planning on getting more into snowboarding while i have the chance living here.

i have been up to the mountains a few times and have had a blast everytime. but a few of my friends are up there all the time, he brings back the cam images and videos from them on those big ass superpipe launches hahaha i can ride no pipes but love the snow - cold and with a bar at the middle of the resort right at one of the seven lifts.

fun stuff.

Quiet...if you haven't been there for a few years..you wouldn't recognize it... In the past 5 years they have opened up 2 more bowl areas and the snow is still incredible!! (But give it a few weeks before you journey out this year).

And compare the base at Sunshine or Lake Louise at the height of the season...maybe 300 cm tops...to a norm for Fernie being 600 cm. (On that note, I was at Louise last week...get's a little boring skiing Wiwaxy all day..but Lousie is still tops in my books).

What do you want to know? I will fill you in on the details...

P.S. A few comments you have made on this board have given me the impression that we may in fact live in the same City...
Ca....., A......?

Fletch - snowboarding is the shit. the more you do it, the more it becomes a way of life. i've been riding for 14 years

Pipe - cool, post some pics

49 - close. i'm in Deadmonton right now. i was living in banff from 99 - to spring of 02 (best days of my life), so i was riding almost every day. i've had a season's pass to louise for the last 5 years - my two favorite places to ride are louise and kicking horse.

i'm sure i wouldn't recognize Fernie. i was looking at the map, and it looks completely different. a friend of mine won a free weekend up there, so if i can get away, i'll be going with him

damn i miss living in banff...

Hey I live in Golden, due to bad knees I can't ski or board, but if you want any info about Kicking Horse I can get you what you need. Also if your in the area get ahold of me and the beers are on me.

KrazyTrain...I was at a bar last weekend...can't remember the name though...it was outside of Golden...up a side road....

The bar had a pool table and then a large smoking area on the balcony...I'm thinking it was in an area called Douglas..but I'm not sure...Does that ring a bell?

Yup thats the Moberly Pub, its about 7 or 8 miles west of Golden, good little pub, need to be there on Thursday nights for their wing night, lots of good food and beer and some of the chicks are even half decent looking.
