Information has been posted again, again and again about this scammer over the last few years. Greenguy & Jim outed him on their radio show on 02-09-2005. If people keep getting fucked over by TheButcher, I can only shake my head.

OH SHIT YES!!!! I remember the phone calls!
He hit me up on ICQ a couple months ago, and invitied me to his forum ... I could not remember exactly what it was I had heard or remembered about him, so I went and signed up just to test the waters ..
within a week of signing up, he had PM'ed me telling me to "find a few extra dollars in my epass, and buy some advertising from him"
I found this approach very forward, and to be honest, I was offended. If I want to buy advertising, just make sure your fucking ADVERTISE HERE button is large enough and in my face, and I will find it ....
Now it is all coming back to me ...

Wow, the exact same thing happened with me. I checked Alexa and Board Tracker and... well lets say it wasn't worth the 'deal' he was offering because someone 'backed out' at the last minute (sound familiar?)
I found out a couple days later that he talked shit about us to one of our better affiliates.. the boy should do his research a little better. He kept trying to contact me like I was his buddy until I finally broke down and slapped his ass on ignore

Just a note - before doing any work with anyone - check out their references and also the webmaster boards. If you got screwed, then part of it is your fault for not doing due diligence. It is sad that many have been screwed by others - but if anyone asks to do business with me, not only do I check out a minimum of 3 sources but also all webmaster boards to verify their integrity.Comment

You are 100 percent correct. I trusted a friend, was in a hurry, and it was only 300 bucks. I take full responsibility as i knew the risks. I also know I most likely wont get my money back.
Should I just let it go? Probably.
However, I don't like people stealing from me, and I plan to spend way more than he ripped me off for to make his life uncomfortable for as long as possible.
I also want to make it as hard as possible for him to rip anyone else off.Comment
