And the RROD warranty is for 3 years, As long as my system is in the warranty, I'm not fucking with anything, I'll let them do it. If it happens outside of the warranty, then fine, I had a good 3 years with no problems, I'll pay the $30 to have the fix done by someone else, and give it to my 7 year old nephew so he has a system, then cough up another $200 for a brand new one again.

It's not a difficult fix either.
it's no different since he got the rrod which is a hardware failure which has a 3 years warranty. Fix it yourself and you void any warranty that you may have had.

i had a launch day one where i fixed the X-clamps but it died recently, 3 and a half years wasnt too bad

waiting for the jasper 150w to get a new one, hope i can find one before halo wars

filled in the form on the website
got a box 2 days later with paid shipping
sent it in
got it back 2 days later.

I kept hearing crap about how it takes months and shit, no time at all.

ya, I heard many horror story, but when I got my box from them, shipped my 360 to them I got a new one in less then 1 week in a half. My brother did the same, but he sent it near xmas, but he got a new one back 3 days after he sent his fucked up one in. I can guarantee that when I send mine in a couple days I won't have to wait long to get a new one.

With the new Xbox update you can install the game on the hard drive. I think that takes a big load off the DVD drive and might help prolong the life of it. :2 cents:

Wow, you guys are some red ringin mofos. I know 2 people personally with 360's and they have 3 RROD between them. That system must be pretty great to keep putting yourselves through that crap over and over.

I loved my 360... but it breaking got old. I got a PS3 and other then the lack of games... it is amazing. Did I mention there aren't many games? Alright, just checking.
