Hey Roger,
I LOVE saltwater fishing. As a matter of fact, I'm in the process of setting up sportsfisherman.com I'm taking a template designed for golf and editing it with fishing images. I get a lot of offers for the domain so I figured it was about time to put something up in my off time. |

Never been salt water fishing. Just moved here from Michigan though and have been fishing since I was a little kid.

I just fish freshwater. Suppose it is a location issue. Lakes and rivers. I have done salt water but not enough to claim it as something I do. I really do like bass, salmon, trout, perch, catfish and such though.

I put up a Joomla default installation and never did anything so it only had the default Joomla stuff - no mention of fishing at all and people were still signing up as members waiting for me to set the site up. |

Nice California sheepshead there. I grew up fishing off the Central California coast in the beds, and out to about 400ft.
Since I moved to Texas, I've been having a blast catching Black & Red Drum, Speckled Trout, Blacktip Shark, Stingrays, etc. I'm resolute in my plan to get out on a bluewater trip this summer, and fight some tuna/marlin though! Here's a pic of my 50lb. black drum from last years black drum run. 50lbs. 47", on 30lb. mono, 9ft. uglystick, http://img144.imageshack.us/my.php?image=0314082mo0.jpg Mah hurrrs get extra crazy out in that wind. |

Where is that? I grew up in Texas and have spent many many days fishing on the texas coast, mainly around Galveston and Corpus Christi. I took the sheephead pic in the kelp beds off of Catalina Island last weekend. Its my favorite place to dive. |

Catalina is one gorgeous island too. I've fished around many of them, and walked around Anacapa. There's a really cool blowhole there. Nice sized snapper! *insert pussy joke here* |

Im about as serious as you can get I fish all the time offshore from Mexico Beach, FL
Once in a while I hit Venice Louisiana for big Yellowfin Im really starting to get pissed with the federal regs in the gulf...the fucking chinese are pushing for tighter and tighter recreational limits so that they have a better market for farmed fish. 10 yrs ago big snapper were hard to get in the gulf in my area, the 4 fish per person limit and size restrictions brought them back strong...now they are everywhere so cutting the season this year from 7 months to 2 months and reducing the limit to 2 per person is fucked up...specially considering commercial regulations haven't changed significantly, ditto new grouper regs. We need more support in FL for recreational anglers. OK off that soapbox....when ya wanna go?

Mahi Mahi to you left coasters ![]() A pretty good day at the snapper hole in 08 ![]() A mixed bag of red snapper, mangrove snapper and chicken dolphin ![]() Ashley may be petite but I'll lay money on her outfishing almost anyone on the board, she can throw a 12 foot cast net, gaff a fish that weighs as much as her and drive the boat home using only the compass...from 50 miles out ![]() a cooler FULL of red and mangrove snapper ![]() Tiffany is a pretty good angler too ![]() Not a bad days catch ![]() I reckon thats enough for now

Mexico Beach is in the panhandle just north of port st joe 4 maybe 5 hr drive from Tampa but only cuz you have to go around the big bend and theres no freeways its all 2 lane.
But its a small fishing town with the most active artificial reef association (Im a proud member) in the world The MBARA

In Tampa and taking my boat offshore in ten minutes
Actually, hitting the hard bottom off of Redington long pier give the kids something to do with the Silver trout (very thick right now)
Give me a email we have a few guys who hit it hard - Also King/Mack tournaments are fun in Spring.

This Spring the Manta Rays will be migrating and the cobia will be right with them!
The Rays will be flying out of the water. So you can sight fish them fairly easy. Find the rays and you found cobia also. A manta ray with a 20 foot wing span really sticks out above as well as below the water. It's amazing to cruise along next to them and just watch them. Have a spinning rod handy with a jig, or even some squid or better yet a half of crab. That cobia will swim right out from under the ray and grab your bait, boom!, the fight is on. Cobia love crabs, they will do anything for them. They also love structures in the open water as well as following these manta rays for food. One month from now this will be going on right here. Only happens once a year like this. I can take 3 people. But let me say first that the best day to do this is on days that have some good swells. It's easier to spot them when the ocean is not flat. It's a fun ride but you have to hang on! Here is a cobia cruising under a ray: |
