affiliates - do you care who processes payments?

when you look to promote sponsers on your network, will you avoid signing up if you never heard of the payment processor running the affiliate?

I'm getting feedback that i should use CCBill because they have a known & reputable affiliate program, & more people would promote my site by using them.

I am also told what i am promoting is most important & affiliates will sign with something they think will convert, regardless of the processor.

I would like to try Zombaio given they charge a much lower rate. But I also need affiliates to not get scared away from my payment processor. so i would like more opinions from those who promote so i can meet your needs.

    Thanks.

Yes it will scare most away if you do not stick with ccbill or epoch. Hell many will not even touch another pretty established processor just because of certain issues it has.

I would start with ccbill and then keep in mind you can add others to them and still have ccbill payout.

I prefer Verotel and I have never had anyone say they would not promote me because I am not using CCBill. Never have had one problem with Verotel.

Wait a few and you will soon see those exact responses.
There are a few verotel sites out there that look good and I will not promote them. Will not begin to either unless they have finally allowed accounts to get merged for 1 check. I also do not go out of my way typically to say I will not promote someone, I just do it instead.

There was once a program I wanted to push desperately but didn't because their processor was crap. That was a few years ago.

I won't promote verotel sponsors unless it's via nats and check comes from program.

Also, to consider more than the processor is the tracking backend.

I won't push anyone using that piece of shit partnersoft.

Why is that? Who doesn't include at least one of them directly, or within their cascade? Seems like your sponsor options would be quite limited if that statement is actually true.

It is already painfully clear you rarely even read threads, so please keep in mind a thread that has not had a reply in a whopping 6 minutes and has barely even slipped on the main page does not need a fucking bump.

If you are a low volume merchant starting off, Epoch / CCBill - provide support to your customers etc. (of course you pay big time for it). If you are doing higher volume (50K+) I would say; "get your own direct merchant account" (with us of course), wayyyyy lower rates but here you need to run the support yourself but we def work with NATS .. and give the best solution working with your affilliates.

We use CCBill, Epoch, and Zombaio on cascade. Everyone likes to 'hate' on Zombaio but they are solid. CCBill and Epoch are the standard, though. So, as a new program, you should seriously consider having at least one of them on your roster. Ref CCBill as an affiliate program, yes, it probably would help your start-up gain some early traction (especially if you have a hot program and content). But, we prefer using a 3rd party affiliate management back-end (MPA 3) as you have a bit more versatility.

Will I promote program with Verotel as main billing? NO!!!

Yes, the experienced webmasters (usually the ones you want as an affiliate) do consider the payment processor and affiliate script used.

I would never ever signup for a program which uses Verotel

CCBill has a crappy interface but at least they are trustworthy and pay like clockwork.
