meh, I don't care. If you don't have programmers at your company good enough to write a basic scraper in the first place, then buying one is retarded, they break all the time when we change stuff.
But, um, yea, go build massive highly competitive sites with a $200 scraper.... LOL

Terms of service are at the providors discretion to enforce. Most of the tubes we embed from, if not all of them, have thanked us personally for all the links and traffic we give them. We'd honestly rather not give them all that traffic, but it's only fair, and we'd rather not get blocked.
Plus the embed ads in their embeds, which they are loving. And the embed version of the player adds all kinds of ads, and overlay, and pre-roll garbage...

no matter how drastic your layout changes are, the scraper will still collect the video title, and the embed code, and the preview image thumb with barely any modification.
only thing that would need slight editing is grabbing the video ratings.
this is the same for both pichunter.com, and hometwat, but these will remove all your ref codes.

copyright complaints, click the button, call your senator, sue someone who actually hosts your stolen content, we don't and we'd love if you would. Absent any real attempts by companies to defend their content, we're left with few choices. The issue's a little bigger than cliphunter, but cliphunter does everything it can to assist people. If you use the reporting tool on the site, videos are removed in an extremely expediant fashion. We've recieved only one DMCA complaint to date, and that was resolved in 20 minutes.
I'm not a fan of DMCA, but for now it's law, and I have to compete by the laws. Most of the people I respect and work with, even those who adversely affected by these issues understand and respect the position we're in. Hell, they buy adspots on the people we embed, so cry elsewhere, but we're not making more money now than we were as a dominant TGP, so we'd greatly enjoy a return of more strict interpretations of copyright holder's rights.
As the legal environment changes, we will to. Until then, enjoy scraping and the comedy stylings of emil, I'm done here.Not WorkingComment
