For some dumb ass reason I thought gas pumps only released gas if the muzzle was pushed in. Thought that there was some sort of button or whatever in the black part and if that was not pressed by the gas tank opening, or the top of a gas can etc. that the flow of gas would stop.

Guess I learned something.
