Learn a CMS or two

And maybe get certifications to go along with it. Wordpress and Joomla are good for building popularity, Drupal is good for generating an income, eZ Publish is good for vastly overcharging corporate and government clients.

AlienQ is a good guy but just gets too hot sometimes. I love his designs and have had content off of him in the past too. Sometimes you just need to sit and think about the future and what would make you happy. Live is too short. :2 cents:

Here's a few things to keep in mind Alien.

Good creative skills and a knack for getting shit done on time. You want people to give you a try? Start promoting the fact that their design will be ready on time....or it's free. That'll give people an incentive to work with you.

Well put Dean, I hear you on the deadlines, I learned deadlines are of the most importance, especially when I am doing magazine design, missed deadlines cost thousands of dollars a day. Efficiency is just as important as Skill.
