    XBIZ News: HIV 'Patient Zero' Tested Positive June 6

    SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. ? AIM Healthcare has released details on the "Patient Zero" performer who tested positive for HIV.

    Described by AIM administrator Brooke Hunter as "a video performer," the female performer tested positive from a blood draw on June 4. The results were received June 6.

                      you're right - what's the point of going to a test when you work the next day but get the result one day after your work. this means: she worked on the 5th and the producer did not care for an actual test - congrats.

She had previously been described as being in "a small number of films," which would explain the 36-day gap between tests.

                                                      It never mentioned anyone else that she might have worked with in May while her last negative test was valid. That means that she might have gotten infected sometime in and around the 29th. Or possibly before then and it was not detected--doesn't mean that she was not infected. The DNA/pcr test can detect within time of exposure to 3 weeks. She could have been infected up to 3 weeks before her last negative test--though unlikely and unlikely to pass it on. Am I missing something here? Did she not work at all during the month of May and did she not have sex with anyone during that time? She must have at least once, right? Also, what about the people she might have worked with or had sex with near her last test date? Not just industry...

                                                                                      I'm not so much concerned about a potential for a false positive, as much as Patient Zero worked before having a clear test, and that the producer and male talent, apparently didn't double-check or care, unless of course AIM mistakenly told everyone that Patient Zero was negative (clear) for HIV.

                                                                                      I would like some clarification from AIM or the others involved, since we common producers are being kept in the dark by all concerned, since it's "no big deal"...
