    Was your college drumline better than this? (vid)

    When I went to Howard University, the first year I played in the drum section called, "Thunder Machine"......Regretably, I quit and played Tuba because I wasn't into getting my ass beat by the older members after I practiced until it was dark holding a base drum...

    The highlight of playing for them was getting to play in front of the fine arts building after home games, in which the biggest game was Homecoming, where this video took place...It's the same place that I was sitting when I saw my now ex-wife and got that little pain in my heart....In the building right behind it is where Biggie Smalls performed right before he blew up...

    Our routines weren't as complicated as this one in terms of movement but the technical skills are still the same.

      I wouldn't say they suck,. they are pretty good, but they certainly ate not as well polished as they could be.

      I'd say my highschool drumline was better than that.

                              I'm 37....not a lot of videos of US either....Which is why I took a vid from 2008...If your school was good then, they'll be good now and would have at least ONE vid up.

                                  My schools drumline sucked nuts, these guys kick a bit of ass.


                                  Also, ever since I was a kid I loved drumlines. My parents took me to a parade once when I was like 4, and when the drumlines came by I remeber it made me feel like my heart was beating right along with them. One of my favorite childhood memories, actually.

                                  Great vid, BVF. I really enjoyed the hell out of it!
