PHATSERVERS rocks Godaddy sucks ass

Wanted to post up a thank you for all the help from the tech guys at phat servers!
I am new to the programing side of how things work and there email tech support is always right there to help and fix the problem no matter what time it is or what the problem is.

I have a Godaddy server and there techs and servers suck ass! When Godaddy left me hanging when we couldn't get stuff off the server onto phat servers, Phat servers fixed it.And Godaddy's sales team tries to rip you off. Example they sold me a shared server with unlimited storage and bandwidth and didn't tell me you could only have 50 people a time on it and that once you start to get a lot of stuff in the server it runs really really slow.

There is nothing wrong with GoDaddy.

I'm sure there are stories out there. There are stories everywhere. I have had my domains there for a while with never a question. I hear stories about there customer service, when i spelled a domain i bought wrong, i called up, and within 10 minutes i had the domain i wanted.

Now, would I ever HOST a domain on there servers. Never.

Just like I wouldnt register a domain with my web hosting company.

GoDaddy is great for domains, but I agree... they absolutely suck ass for virtual/dedicated servers. Their support has no clue what apache is and their network is saturated beyond belief, but they will never admit it.

Just so there is no mistake, I agree with both of you. The part I find unbelievable is that Donny really thought unlimited meant unlimited. You just know he was trying to run the world's biggest tube on some $3.95 hosting.

Have maybe 150 domains with godaddy some going back 6 years never had a single problem. As others mentioned, lots of problems cited but very rarely substantiated.

OTOH I would never use godaddy for hosting, not least because you should never host where your domains are registered. Plus I have seen several believable claims (including this one) of shitty hosting service.

I have a phatservers hosting account too and their service is second to none in my book.

I had over 100 domains in registerfly, and I was intelligent enought to get them out the minute I saw there was issues...why did you wait until LITERALLY the very end when they transferred them for you?

if your domains were that important you would have moved them ages before they defaulted on you into godaddy's system

as a guy that got punked out by registerfly as well, the first place domains got sent was Enom.com, not godaddy. I bet your domains were transferred there, my registerfly account was cloned over at enom and my domains were there.

I still lost a few in the mess, but better than having none.

i had hundreds of domains at the time.

I was able to get the enom ones fine that was not a problem.

the problem was the domains that were not at enom, registerfly became accredited at a certain point and was no longer reselling enom.

All of the registerfly domains that were not enom resold were moved to godaddy and godaddy took 2 domains and pretty much told me to fuck off since the whois was using the register fly whois protection service.
