gfy should elect a mod!!!

We should elect a mod to represent the people... have this happen every so often... no long terms... etc etc....

maybe restore some order around these parts without training a new mod....

might be a nice way to get user opinion to the forefront....

I can't see where training would be necessary.

Moderating isn't as fun as you would think I wouldn't do it again if you paid me. Things only get out of order when a good show is on tv or you have plans to go out.

It gets annoying after a while when you use GFY to actually DO BUSINESS.

The flow is a bit better and it's getting cleaned up a bit since Eric took over.

Besides I doubt they will take advice from someone looking to sell their sig while breaking the actual board rules in the process.

A look at GFY's first page shows how he ended...

I don't think Eric wants GFY to be moderated by someone not working in his office.
But if he wanted, then finding a reputable and trustworthy person wouldn't be impossible...

Just because you do not have the direct power to hit the ban button or edit a thread, doesn't mean that I don't look at everyone on this board as a voice or as a mod themselves. You can ask around and plenty of people can tell you that they have come to me personally and shown me links to items that have been detrimental to the state of the board. From there I handled the situation.

As Eric said in here already... my icq and email is also available if anyone here has an issue or needs to report something.

If you only knew how often I get hit up on icq or sent an email to approve a new nick, change something on the account, check out a thread or user for whatever reason, edit, move, delete a thread or post, etc... You would understand I do more then just ban people.
