Every things on earth has its disadvantages. Well the news serves as a warning to Mac users to be watchful in every downloads/connections to the net.

I don't know how many times this has to be said. This is MALWARE. It is something the USER HAS TO INSTALL.

No one, ever. Has stated Macs are safe against malware. There is no computer out there that grows an arm and smacks you upside the head for being a moron and installing some malware onto your computer.

People argue about viruses. Which is a totally different story.

FWIW: That's a Trojan, not a virus. Further, like Vista you must type in your password to install. This isn't really that surprising. What's more surprising is the apparent lack of trojans in the majority of torrent downloads... I would expect this to be FAR more prevalent if not totally rampant...

Anyone know how to check if you're affected? I wouldn't be surprised to see this embedded in far more apps than was mentioned.

No OS is completely FOOLproof, but OSX does a very good job of protecting users from the idiot mistakes many users make.

A few years ago a friend of mine had a HDD fail in her mac. So I put in new HDD, reinstalled OSX etc etc. I had the thing for about a month. I hate macs, they just feel like fucking gaming consoles and not computers.

For example when installing something that icon at bottom would blink and blink. Fuck I'm not blind and ya I prolly have A.D.D. but I just fucking installed it, I know WTF I'm suppose to fucking click. But there it is blink blink blink, heeeeey click me dumbassssssss over here dumbasssssss click click im here im here!!!!!!!! Fuck I get it damnit!!!!!!!
