I used to do under 1:100 on many programs, now its more like 1:300 or worse.

I used to not believe in the "oversaturation" gripe, but with tube sites its definitely gotten bad with the more popular sponsors. Also, depends where you are getting your traffic from.

Over all my stats remote tell me That 08 was better conversion wise than 05. That said I have been working much on my own landing pages etc in 08.

edit: in 02/03 I can guarantee I had better conversions across the board though

if conversions are better than 3 years ago, then that's some sort of statistical anomaly. Letting alone the influence of tube sites and surfers knowing where to get their free porn, porn can't and won't scape the economic recession. If anything, it will be more affected

This being said, if you think out of the box you can get better conversions than you have now and make as much -or even more - money with the same traffic

I dont think you can even compare today to 5 years ago. there are so many things that have changed since then that have dramatically influenced the conversion rates of sites.

if you kept doing what you were doing 5 years ago today, i think the chance of you still being able to keep your head above water would be very very slim. however, if you kept up on change (i.e. from static image galleries to hosted flv movie galleries, etc.) then you might still be in decent shape.

in my case my conversions are about 4-5x worse then they were in 2004 and about 2-3x than they were in 2007. im still pushing some of the same sponsors, but back in 2004 i was at 1:400 for one while today im more around 1:2000

It's all about quality of traffic, site, content.

My conversion rate is great! Even as I type this out I am successfully converting hours worth of work into nothing whatsoever! Soon I hope to convert other things too, like maybe time into space, or footage of hot babes performing sexually explicit acts into some sort of low-fat recipe book.

Anything is possible, but now that I'm receiving imaginary bank offers for even lower conversion rates, the future is looking fantastic!
