    Porn Co-op

Let's start a porn co-op. A dozen or two of us will get together and contribute talent, resources and finance toward a killer site. Who's in?

co-op's only work when you trust people 100% and have the same goal, where people don't mind sharing money also AND people re-inforce each others capabilities.
It's hard to get 12 to 24 people in one line IMHO. Difficult enough to get 2 people in one line.
So that will eliminate 98+% I guess.
Out of 7 selective incorporation co-op's I did the last years, 5 failed, 1 worked perfectly and we became friends and 1 became my best friend.
Funny how things turn out sometimes.

It's not even about money, it's about trust, getting along, wanting the same goals and being able to share success (or loss) and admit it took more then yourself alone to accomplish. Either a team works or it doesn't.

Sounds like two many people would have their hands in the cookie jar. Likely not enough profit to go around.

Disagree. Many Coops exist with thousands, tens of thousands of "owners" that barely even know each other but work well and have for many decades with clear guidelines and bylaws. The Coop would allow members to also be "owners" of the site(s).

I fully agree with you when it's an investment(company) or oppertunity.
Not when it comes to management and meetings for a daily course of business.
Not that I say it's fully impossible, just hard to get people in one line and the more people are involved, the more difficult it MIGHT be.

Most owners in the Coop would be members of the site itself, who are then also mostly passive investors and not directly involved in the operation other than minor voting on matters of content, direction, models, purchases, etc...

That I did not read. So it was unclear for readers. Maybe you should be more clear in words to achieve your goals.
But I did bump your thread and got your idea more attention

Absolutely, and it was just an early idea based on some reading and involvement in a brick and mortar Coop. I remembered how big these were in the 70s, and it could make for an interesting online project. I appreciate the input.

In the 70's a handshake was enough Now an 80 page legal doc doesn't cover it anymore.
