Slumdog was good. More world cinema than I think the trailers slanted it. Luckily, I enjoy world cinema.

Slumdog Millionaire should win.
Too bad Gran Torino was not among the nominations

lol..I should copyright my version of the two thumbs up.

My tip about slumdog is that if you have food with you don't start eating it until after the opening few minutes of the film. Just trust me.

Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel had the prescience to trademark the phrase "two thumbs up" themselves and licensed it to Disney. What is Disney doing on the review show now?

Looks like Warner Bros. got hosed on "Dark Knight" but they made it up on "Benjamin Button." I'm waiting for the Academy to post the breakdowns and fact sheets but they haven't done it yet and their new spiffy-do website is harder than hell to navigate anyway.

Taraji P. Henson is an amazing actress. She's also very hot.

Her most underrated performance was as Sharice, the hit lady in Smoking Aces. She was a total bad ass in that move. My favorite line from her in Smoking Aces: "Any of these niggas make one false move, these bitches taking dirt naps. I ain't trying to be up here all day. And I tell you what. That bitch-ass fed get in the way, RIP, nigga."

I hate how they bring out these artsy films around Christmas time and they all get nominated, fucking stupid.
