    26k posts, gotwebhost will share your private info + goes through your servers??!?

    1st off, 26k posts.. woo hoo. moving right a long.

    so, the other day baddog decides to call me a scammer, now seeing i havent scammed anyone, i took deep offense to this. i mean its a shot at me and my bis. something like that could prevent me from making money, and ive always thought here at ole gfy if you are going to call someone out like that you had better have some fucking proof. i racked my brain for a few hours trying to think what the fuck this old bastard could be talking about, and couldnt come up with anything. clearly just a shot hes taken at me, and trying to make me look bad so i send him an email, and here is what was said in this email.

    okay, so his 1st threat here is to release my partners information here on gfy. not sure about you, but thats pretty clear breach of trust. so, something to consider, if you are hosting with gotwebhost, and you and baddog ever fall off, you had better have used a fake name, as hes got no issue posting that here on gfy.

    secondly, hes claiming that i am a scammer for something i did on his server? well, considering that i used a server of his for a month, and found a much better deal and moved on after that month, what the hell is he talking about?

    and on that same note, unless he was served with some form of paperwork, that in that case should have clearly been forward to me (and never was) then how the hell would he even know what i was doing on his server?

    that is unless he goes through clients servers?

    now, i know im not 2 big on the SEO front, but i would think that those secrets are pretty well safe guarded right? how safe do you feel hosting with an "seo host" that would a) divulge who you are partners with on a board of this size and b) would seem goes through your servers when you aren't looking?

    in closing, baddog, you are a fucking mutt. i hope people here truly see you for who and what you are. a liar.

      I have to admit, you are denser than I thought. I honestly did not think you could come off dumber that your feonsay episode, but guess I was wrong.

      What makes you think I have any idea what was going on with your server? If anything, this jump to the incorrect presumption tells me that you probably were doing something you should not have. Guess we will never know, huh?

      The records I was speaking of was that your hosting was cut off for non-payment. No notice to terminate the account, just stopped paying.

      Call it scamming, call it thievery, I really don't care. All I know is you ripped us off, and for you to have the gall to call me asking for more hosting is pretty ballsy of you.

      And I asked permission to post your partner's name because that is the only way I can post the notice of cancellation due to non-payment. I would never post a customer's info without permission.

                                                      Switching hosts and letting a service run out is hardly scamming or thievery.

                                                                                                  If hosting companies developed the practice of shutting down accounts after one week of no payment, half of the Internet would be down. It's quite amazing really.

                                                                                                  Most companies typically leave data available for a couple months as well in case the customer comes back. When a customer leaves without notice, it really does cost the hosting company quite a bit of money and is why pretty much every company has 30 day cancellation policies.

                                                                                                  The case at hand I know nothing about, I'm just talking in general.

                                                                                                              Depends on how much the monthly bill is, and how "nice" the host is in keeping the lights on for a given customer.

                                                                                                              Simply "walking" from a hosting account is bullshit, and costs the host money. Period.

                                                                                                              Cancel prior to your next billing period (or per the terms of service you agreed on), and there should be no issues, or legal liability, on either side.

                                                                                                              If someone just "walks" from one of our accounts, they have already cost us one month's service before we even know they are late. By the time we go through the collections process, this can either mean one month of service is still due - or more if we had previously had a long standing business relationship and I held your service suspension out of good will. 60-90 days of service is not completely out of line for some customers who we do not shut off immediately.

                                                                                                              I have to admit, in this industry I have become less and less likely to do the latter - even when begged to. Been burned far, far, too many times.

                                                                                                              Mainstream clients tend to have a much better default rate than adult, it's simply a mathematical fact at this point. And as such, we now must treat accordingly.

                                                                                                              Just my two cents on that part of it. Not weighing on on any other issue here.

                                                                                                                  If people had a clue here as too who has "money problems" and cannot pay basic bills on time, they would be absolutely astounded. This is from my experience, and that of other colleagues at competitors.
