    Who pays up to 5k a day for a location shoot?

    Saw that on the huffingtonpost.. basically for people who dont like to read, homeowners in california are desperate for money so they are renting out their homes to hollywood and the adult industry for some extra cash to help pay the bills

                  The mainstream studios will pay $5000 for a location without a second thought. I know that Playboy has rented locations for that amount as well (for their magazine shoots).

                              Good luck at getting anywhere near that price now. With fewer and fewer companies shooting now the people who were making money renting their homes out are taking a huge loss now.

                              I personally think the whole $100+ per hour for a location is on it's way out. This is not for all locations, but people will have to be flexible with their rates. A lot of the companies figured out paying for a bigger location did not make them sell anymore movies.

                                      The going rate in the SFV for top end locations was $100/hr. But with the biz & the economy the way it is, you can negotiate for way under that.

                                          Come on- $5000 grand a day is nuts. I would never even pay the so called normal rates the LA guys pay, $100 an hour or even $50 an hour for locations. I personally know enough people with all different kinds of homes and other varied locations that I ask to help me out so I can get very reasonable flat rates here in So FL for half day or all day shoots. There's no other way to make money as a content shooter unless you want to work like a dog filming porn all day long just to break even.
