I grew up listening to the Misfits then to Danzig (to a lesser degree) - this thread is almost completely BS, but it would be interesting to find that Danzig spends anytime using twitter, my guess is he has never, and most likely will never. But in our sad world we can pretend.

I doubt Danzig would ever really twitter... but I would LOVE to see a day in the life documentary with Danzig someday.
I love his music, huge Misfits fan and Danzig II / Lucifuge is one of my favorites.. but with Glenn it's like at some point he went off the rails where he just doesn't live like a normal person anymore.. like little richard or michael jackson, he just seems slightly out of touch with reality.
I met him when I was like 12 / 13, he was a total down to earth, normal guy. I felt like I was around one of my cousins from Jersey. It's been like 15 years, but the doesn't act normal anymore, like I just want to see him fucking eat his cereal with a spoon in the morning like the rest of us.

Agreed. I followed Danzig up to 4, and i tried the Black Aria. I think Danzig is a classic case of someone who got stuck in character. He has always been considered shy and withdrawn - but the silent, dark almost depressed tones that came out in 4 really appeared to be where he was most comfortable. He is getting older, actually much older - maybe its that, but i understand where you are coming from.
In rap this stuck in character thing happened to Tupac - watch Juice, then review the material written after, and who he became. Danzig was to be dark, he flirted with satanic symbolism in both art as well as words. He started at B-Flick Horror and then stayed forever in the equation of 666-777.

maybe look at as an easy way to push your GFY sig out to the world (repeatedly and have it rank on google) - way way past the grasp of GFY. Dont get me wrong im not suggesting your a Sig whore, just suggesting a practical use for Twitter.
In the same way - may i also suggest digg and x-digg, and every other social networking site (no matter how lame) with hub status on google.

All hail Elvis err i mean Glen Danzig, i Lived in Lodi NJ for awhile and use to hang with the guys from the Misfits (my buddy was their photograhper, boy those were the days). Glen has always wanted to be Elvis, you can hear it in alot of his Misfits stuff, especially alot of the live stuff.
That said he is still a great singer and a day doesnt pass that i dont listen to The Misfits and go wow.Comment
