    Original Design This Time?

    Here is my new site, I have done the welcome page and will finish off the rest of the site in 2 hours.. So you have 2 hours to tell me if you think that my site looks like anyone elses..

    I have not viewed any websites while making this site, I have not copied any code so this is original and unless told otherwise in this thread, it will go up on my site.

                      It looks somehow familiar (the patterns and colors), but to be honest, I think that may just be because I half-expected it after the thread about you copying Amp. I'm probably just imagining things.

                      That said, though, the design still needs work. There's something about the proportions and spacing. Hard to put a finger on.

                                                  If you really felt you were able to do a truly original design, would you have made this post? You should have just done your design, and moved on. Drawing attention to accusations of plagiarism is pretty stupid, to be blunt.

                                                                  Putting on my "surfer/prospective client hat"....

                                                                  REVIEW OF DESIGN:

                                                                  1. I do believe that the design easel is kind of similar to Amp's design. Yours is toonesque, however, the idea is still the same.

                                                                  2. I think your slogan at the top "Thinking outside the square, working inside the box." should be inverted to say "Thinking outside the box, working inside the square."

                                                                  3. I don't really like the signature. "Superior to others in Adult Design". As far as from a marketing standpoint, it is blatantly obvious that when a company talks their competition down in their marketing efforts, that they are in fact "inferior", and need to be overlooked.

                                                                  Of course, your designs MAY be better than others... however, pointing it out, is simply tacky, and denotes a lack of confidence in your own work.

                                                                  4. The layout seems to be a bit on the plain side. The dark maroon color doesn't seem to match the toon element. Just sort of seems out of place.

                                                                  So overall, I would have to say that I don't really like the design, not that it's bad, just that it isn't "outstanding", and leaves me wondering about your capabilities.

                                                                  Take it for what it's worth.

I could tell you the half-dozen things that are wrong, but I am not sure it would help you move forward withy our design. Can you name the first three things wrong with the layout of the elements in your own design?

                                                                              would appreciate your input.. as for me telling you what doesnt look right about it.. (remember it took 3 hours, I had to get somethign done)

                                                                              1: Pretty plain, eg: right hand side on 1280 x 1024 there is alot of empty places.
                                                                              2: The logo is a little plain and just stuck in the middle..
                                                                              3: Thinking outside the square working inside the box (the colors dont really go together)

                                                                              But to be honest I dont think it is the worst design site out there. It obviously is not the best with only limited amount of work, but if some of you were really men and could swollow your pride and admit my design aint that bad then that would be appreciated,

                                                                                  I like the black and white color scheme. It goes well with the address bar. Pretty ingenious.

                                                                                  Where did you get that font you used? It is the best I've ever seen! I really like text justification that you used, and did you write your own style sheet for that?

Why not use blue ? Using red is pretty dangerous, considering Amp's site has a similar color, and even the one in Amp's portfolio (which happens to be mine). Not a smart move.

I was not going to go down to months and count them. Hungryman said 2 years ago last night so I said 2 years ago this time.

                                                                                                                              But no there is no next time.. I DO NOT ripp people off, If I did then right now I could walk and the people that have paid me upfront would be out of pocket.... People pay 50% upfront or 100% upfront and if they didnt trust me they wouldnt do it.

                                                                                                                              That proves that I am no conass that is in here to ripp people off, I am designing and have got a hell of alot better than a year and 2 months ago ( or whenever it was ) so it is about time that you let it go, keep it in the back of your mind but stop the fucken bashing on this board. I am making sure I think about everything I say and do on here now. And WHEN people ask me for design work I make sure that I have time to do it before I take their 50% or 100% upfront because I dont wanna be in this situation again. To tell you the truth there is not 1 person on this board that knows about the HUNGRYMAN thing apart from him and me. And he is the only one that could take me down over it and if all you other guys would just leave it and get on with your own stuff then it would be better off for all of us. As I said before, keep it in your minds what I have done and dont let me get away with a darn thing around here but dont start saying I ripp people off 24/7 and I couldnt be trusted with anything because I have earnt respect with alot of people around here.

Get some fucking moral, a better attitude towards honest webmasters and if you ever.... EVER... comes even close to Voodoo and AMP's skills make sure you do business the HONEST way. But I dont disrespected Amp or Voodoo I think they both are good at designing.

                                                                                                                                                                              Railz: I agree with you on some stuff but I disappeared to let people have a rest and to do some work and become a better designer.. again I have not ripped people off and wont, I want trust and am working to get it.

I new by then that he realy did screw up with the biz so i knew the risk with dealing with him. Anyway I did provide him with some licensed content and he came back with this

                                                                                                                                                                                              So he would have a clean record on my site IF THAT DESIGN IS NOT COPIED from someone else.
