Where ever I do end up, I will be making frequent trips back to Manhattan. |
Of course, a google images search of Costa Rica brings up an awful lot of pics of this thing...

Costa Rica has.. think 12 ecosystems (but who's counting!)... You can move from "warm" to "Switzerland" in 30-40 mins from where we are. About an hour away and you need a four-wheeler in the middle of a "genuine" rainforest and 90 mins you are in a paradise that I ain't ever seen on this planet.
That volcano is about a hour away.. nice area! |
And apart from the "tourist stuff" there are no taxes, friendly people and one of the best health and education systems in the world that don't cost a dime! - Or rather.. yea, it does cost.. about $200 a year for a family of four!:)

You should work for the tourist board of Costa Rica :winkwink: You paint a beautiful picture. They are at the top of the list now. Here's how I see it right now... 1. Costa Rica : too good to be true ? 2. Australia : always where I wanted to go as a kid. 3. Amsterdam : I got a thing for herb and whores ! 4. Las Vegas : something about Sin City I love 5. I have a few ties for the five spot. Any other corners of the world with some input ???? |
florida. seems to have best combo of no state income tax, reasonable sales tax, warm weather, and some communities that are mostly white people.

I must agree, Tucson AZ is pretty nice...
But... If money was not an object and I could talk the other half into moving out of country, I'd be somewhere like Costa Rica, Chile, etc... I like lots of diff climates that are easily accessible...and I hear the people are wicked nice down in most of those countries. |

*You should work for the tourist board of Costa Rica * Sorry did not mean to spam! *g* Least I got some prospects outside the porn world?? :-) Truth is the CR Tourist Board ain't got a clue.. there is one area we want to develop here that you cannot even find any sensible references to in Google - tis literally a paradise - so gonna take some pics and promote it! On the other side of the coin.. the grass is not always greener - no matter where ya go. In Costa Rica ... least so far.. these are really minor things. It really depends on what each person is looking for. We have ran operations from the Caribbean Islands and several other places, but Costa Rica seems to have a "balance" that appeals and the Govt here is pretty near the top for stability and *genuine* - they don't mess in your business and you don't have to pay em off! *g* There are a good few webmasters here already and have suitable "structures" where no tax is payable. The quality of "help" in net stuff is of a decent graduate level and salaries are $800 -$1200 a month and generally the locals are industrious workers. (Gardners/maids/drivers cost around $200 - $350 a month). There are many more reasons we are here, - but that would take a while to cover! *s* Tis just a nice peaceful country with a sense of balance! And na.. ain't got no shares or payoff's from the tourist board *g* ... |
