That would be a BIG NO. /b/tards once the feel like they are being abused are an incredibly dangerous group to mess with. Not only will the DDoS your site to a smoldering pile of ashes, they are very astute at finding the identities of the perpetrators (name, address, family members, every social media app) and exact a serious real life toll. The point of /b/ is to troll and basically act retarded however many of them have serious professions (a lot in computer sciences) so they are good at causing mayhem online. Their old nickname use the be the "Final Boss Of The Internet" if that's any indication.

They operate on a mob mentality in the thousands and will often "raid" just for the "lulz". Bottom line you don't want to be on the wrong end of their wrath.

Even if you don't do anything viral and never plan to, you never plan to cash in on upcoming hypes by creating simple related sites, you aren't the least bit interested in which sites in the industry are upcoming popular destinations for the tech-savvy 16-24 demographic, and really only stick to ppc campaigns...

Not visiting those sites will make sure you won't know about a number of keywords that are increasing in value but haven't increased in price yet.

Your description is a surprisingly eerie parallel to what my geeky National Instruments disgruntled programmer friend uses to describe the place. I sure as fuck wouldn't want to piss them off.... they're the kind of guys I would want on my enemies, but wouldn't have the balls to try to get them on my enemies in fears that they would turn on me for the fun of it (All of this is based on what I've heard... but I've heard enough to stay away!)
