I don't mind the "amount" - the problem is the "kind of" controversy. Questionable age, alcohol, questionable rights... I don't think its someone you want standing next to you when asking for public funding. No matter how much of a joke it is or isn't.

i see what you're saying, but keep in mind the companies asking for cash are the mr. quzillion-commission-cheques-guys, and companies that build shit pieces of machinery that can very liberally be related to directly causing death in order to 'save a buck'

Joe Francis obviously isn't going to be happy until the Feds put him in prison for good. He's got a date with a judge soon on major tax evasion charges. He's just begging for the harshest sentence they can give him.

last time he was in prison he was in tears crying for him mommy and that they took away his Xanax and whatever other gay medications he is on.

I think its a crap deal for Larry and a crap deal for the industry, because a lot of people will see him as a representative now, and that is something I believe we would be better off without.

Sorry, but I feel you are being extremely influenced by the industry you are in. Everyone may know what GGW is, but I bet very few have a clue who Francis is or who that guy in the commercial is.

The only no-brainer about it is that if a government agency wants an easy target, Francis fits that bill. Takes any heat off Flynt.
