A post or two above yours had me thinking further on this. There are only a dozen or so of these adult boards anyway. Rather than banning anyone, losing (usually) valuable members and sending them to other boards as refugees, etc.. use the word filter and add something to the rule like:

1. Bypassing the word-filters will result in your account being banned.

This also means the mods don't have to police it as much or banning members for posting links either on purpose or on accident. Let the filters handle it instead.

Yea maybe your right. Wouldn't it be great though if the rule makers had so much confidence in this board that they didn't care about someone stealing their members? I mean seriously....where else can you go to experience as much drama as you experience here at GFY? Nowhere! Most of the other boards won't put up with this much bullshit. Believe me GFY has nothing to worry about - nobody is going to steal their members. If people want to go somewhere else - they will. If people want to stay here - they will. If posting a link to another board is enough to send someone packing then I say "good riddance."

IMHO that will be still confusing to most members.

What if someone makes a thread "pussyserver got banned on GFY, and now posts on board x and goes crazy and bashes everyone, here's the link: "

some random webmaster making a thread like that is not spamming his own board, and doesn't intend to steal GFY members because he has no interest in it... but I dont see this being allowed, as it would mean a total change to what is acceptable now and -over time- it could drive some members from GFY away indeed.

if i had to write this new rule, I'd be still not allowing linking to other adult webmaster forums but i'd allow linking to car forums or surfer forums with stolen content.... as banning people over that was quite ridicolous if you think about it

anyway, just my
