he deserved the ban - that rule is pretty clear, whether you agree with it or not.

While Ice was correct in doing what he did based on the way the rule was enforced in the past. This rule is being changed. I wish I could have gotten this live last week like I wanted to. But the rule will be changing.
The rule has always been in place to protect GFY from others who intend to do the board harm. The rule was not originally written for the purpose of limiting the things that can be stated or said on GFY.
The new rules in full will be live tomorrow. Here is the new rule of posting links to other forums...
1) No "spamming" of other ADULT Industry boards with the intent of stealing GFY members. Linking to another ADULT board in attempt to steal members from GFY will be grounds for immediate banning. This will be under the discretion of the moderators to determine "spamming."
I have unbanned Libertine. This was not Ice's fault in any way shape or form. Just a matter of the new rules and guidelines not up and shown to him yet.No OneComment

No linking to other adult boards at all, no promoting any non-adult boards.
So linking to non-adult boards to expose rapidshare dumps would be ok, linking to them to send traffic would not.
That's just my opinion, though
