So, I moved the puppy pads to a different location...
Now Dexter is just shitting and pissing on the carpet where the pads used to be.

I rubbed his nose in it and keep putting him on the pads in the new location.

So I walk out there, and caught him.

He just took a dump on the floor, then stuck his own nose in it, and went over to the pad and stood there.

How do you fix this? I think I've warped him.

Why would you rub the dogs nose in it anyways? Sure I hear of people doing this but damn it really makes zero training sense and as you noticed could lead to odd behavior. Hell soon the dog will probably think going at all is wrong and will begin hiding it from you or eating it.

Uh... wow man. You gotta move back the pad to the old spot obviously, and gradually moveit a little day by day

Have to train based on reward, not fault. Rubbing the dogs nose doesn't do anything but create a bigger mess and a dog with a complex.

Loooooonnnggg walks... regulation of feeding times, and constant positive reinforcement training will nip it in the bud quick like.

dont rub his nose in it..
dogs usually shit a few mins after they ate ( my dog does)
so after that just watch him and once he makes a move stop him right away and put him on the pads. same with pissing..

and praise him when he does it right

Your only supposed to move them a little bit at a time. Each move should be a little closer to the door.

I found the easiest way to house break a pup is install a doggie door and keep moving pee pads closer to the doggie door. 6 days like this and my pup was housebroken and has never had an accident in 2 years.

Ok, so I barricaded the area that his pads used to be, and he started going in the new pad area.
