    Trouble with BlackBerry Bold

Just got this fucking thing yesterday from the dude that cuts my hair, he got it on contract but already had a phone so I bought it off of him, worked all day yesterday then I plug it into my computer when I get home and it turns off. Been off ever since, nothing on the screen even with trying to wipe it and all that my computer isn't picking it up. I'm just getting a red light that flashes on for 10 seconds then goes off for 10 seconds while it charges. Anyone know whats up with it or am I going to have to go back to the dude?

Sounds like the battery is just completely dead.

Did you load the Blackberry desktop software?

For some strange reason certain Blackberry models don't charge from a PC unless the software is installed. Sounds weird and illogical, but it's true. If your computer has the basic BB driver from Windows update, you're in luck though. YMMV.

Either do that or use the wall charger.

Good point. I think you can also only charge from a computer if there is some power there to begin with. Try the wall charger.

Yeah it's been in the wall charger, desktop software installed OS installed, the thing that kills me is that it was working yesterday and I pulled it out of the box brand new.

Yeah with BB it's more of an issue of not being able to charge if the battery is completely drained. Hook it up to the wall.

*Edit scratch that. Just read your post above.

I think it may be time to kick your hair stylist's ass.
