anybody over 35 remembers Kotter and that show must be on in syndication that those under 30 would have seen it. when I was a kid/teen I watched tons of shows that I wasn't alive to watch when they first aired - Leave it to Beaver, Andy Griffith, Twilight Zone, HoneymoonersI moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. Never saw Kotter much in syndication, thats why I wondered if anyone would even remember them, but you may be right.
To answer your original question, I'd feel and care the exact same way if I read about a similar incident involving someone I'd never heard of.

To be honest if a loved one died I wouldn't want it in the media. Sure John T and his wife will get some sympathy but I'm sure some in the media will drag them over the coals about what they could of, would of, should of done as parents.
