That is the funny thing about US companies. Always trying to lock you into a contract. We can get iPhones cracked and unlocked (meaning they work anywhere) in Asia for cheap. No contracts, nada. FUCK US COMPANIES AND CONTRACTS.

unlocking phones is about €10 here if you cant do it yourself

to me the US cellphone system, the way people buy locked phones with subscriptions etc, sounds extremely primitive... is this true?

i dumped mine. sick of the buggy software. back to my BB and E71. iPhone has promise, but typing emails and lack of cut/paste and mms are killers. GL

Sold my unlocked 3G for 600 and first gen iPhone at 700. unlock and sell it high..
