I hope to pick one up at BestBuy tomorrow. Didnt think there'd be a big shortage, ya'd think they'd be prepared for demand, esp being 2 years in or whatnot ;)
I'm not sure what is the appeal of that POS? At first is was much cheaper than a PS3 or XBOX 360. That's not the case anymore. But if cheapness was a factor why not just get a PS2 since graphically they are about the same and a PS2 is half the price and has many more games and the games are cheaper. At anyrate a 360 is $50 less than a Wii.
The wii fit is also sold out everywhere. I picked one up for around $200 including shipping(ouch) and its already here. The system is a lot of fun, especially with a bunch of drunk friends around.

I could've got it at $90 but passed, I can wait until every store has an abundance of them so I don't need to stand in line. How is it? It looks really f'n fun from what I've seen.

You have to head to key stores, on days when they get shipments in (usually sundays), earlier in the day as they'll sell out rather quick.
Target, Walmart, BestBuy, and GameStop - all still get shipments in quite frequently. It's probably better to call each store and either ask them when their next shipment comes in. Or when their shipments usually arrive (day / how often).
It's not hard to find one, but it takes a little more than just randomly walking into any store.
What the fuck is that? It looks like a old N64 game. It's a fucking insult to the Wii. PS2 can even run games with MUCH BETTER graphic than that and the Wii is at lest 3 times more powerful than PS2...
I bought one for my kids yesterday via Circuitcity.com and got express shipping - costly but it will be here on time for Xmas. Went to two stores only before giving up myself and jumping online to see if I had better luck - I did. Good luck though.
Wii is a piece of balls. I spent a total of $500 for controllers, games the works. I logged 27 minutes on it and tossed it in a storage tub. Biggest waste of money ever.

Really? You are not 8 years old? I thought all 8 year olds loved that thing!

Wii is not for the single user. It is fun with a group of friends or family but that is about it. My wife enjoys it.
ahhh... the blessed marketing scheme of Nintendo. Make them scarce and people will want them.
Incorrect.
People buy them faster than they can be produced. The Wii is the only gaming system on the market that actually turns a profit on the console - the rest make it up with the game purchases.

Just saw this earlier stating that Nintendo sold over 1 million Wii units in the U.S. last week alone. I wouldn't call that marketing hype.
i dont think its worth it IMO and i think Nintendo makes the demand for it because of their ever limited supply.
i waited in line the day the came out at best buy and I think ive played it 3 times. the boxing game is pretty cool, but takes way to much effort to play a game for a long time.
Check radio shack and some of the stores like eb games have them in stock; i just saw two yesterday.
if not, you still have about another hour and 40 minutes to order next day air from Amazon.com

Got that one for the wife, had to stand in a special line at BestBuy where they doled them out like food rations in Somalia.
I have yet to try out a Wii. From what others have told me its pretty fun. Best of luck in your search, I'm sure you can find one online at least.
yeah right.. her want the Wii experience? Ok while siting on your couch take your TV remove and extend your arm out fully pointing the remote at the TV. Now hold it there fully extended for about 10-15 minutes. Don't relax it or set it down. Now after 10-15 minutes tell me how your arm feels. That's the Wii experience. Actually do it wth 2 remotes, one in each hands since the Wii requires you use 2 controllers in many games.
So to sum up, playing the Wii is like having to play a PS2 game with 2 tv remotes. If that's you idea of fun then have at it.

My dad got 8 of em from Costco and sold them for only 120. When he heard how much I paid, he felt bad he didn't ask that I wanted one and regretted not charging more.

Oh and it is super crazy fun how it rewards you with new exercises, competition with others using it, and keeps track of your progress.
A lot of the aerobics stuff is HARD. I have horrible balance, but I felt it in my muscles the next day.

Get drunk and play some wii bowling with your friends. You'll have a good time.
go to the internet channel and head to http://www.free-tv-video-online.info/ and you can watch just about any tv show or movie that has been out in the last 2 years, including brand new theatre releases
only downfall is that flash9 is what is on wii, so finding which sites use flash9 is a bitch
eCost.com has had them all season - been in their emails every day - don't know if they still have them but I got one for my in-laws a month ago from them and they still were advertising them last week.

Yikes. Sounds like you need to work out a little or get into shape.
