The richests ones in the porn business are not actually webmasters, though some of them may have been or currently have webmasters on their payrolls. You are right though, most serious webmasters do not expose themselves or their businesses on the boards, and this is pretty common knowledge.

But a good affiliate program is required if you want to do 1000-2000 signups a day. The highest number of daily signups I have heard without webmaster program is 400 signups a day. (I am sure there are ones that generate more per day though).

So the question will remain unanswered.

That leads to another interesting question. What is the total universe of signups per day for the industry as a whole? I'm thinking 150,000 to 200,000.

Your site has exclusive content so once they see a unique video sample or unique pictures they are more willing to pay the full price. Unique or quantity is the choice alot of people have to make when buying content and setting up a paysite.

I believe quiet has mentioned multiple times that he does not use ICQ. He cannot "hit you up" because he does not have the required software to do so.

If its 200,000 that would be 6 million people a month buying a porn membership. Seems a bit on the high side. Yet with all the sites and affiliate programs 200K a day seems like it would be a logical amount in total.

Estimates are that the current internet population is aprox. 600 million users. Around 300 million are from Europe and the US and they are financially interesting individuals for online merchants, however this number includes children.

Now we don't know how many of those people visit adult sites, how many of them are willing to pay for adult content - so its VERY hard to get a representative figure for daily or monthy adult paysite signups.

I'd say its nearly impossible to get a good overview of daily signups without the help of all the online creditcard processors, and I doubt they are willing to hand over that data.
