    Yes, I went with a PC so all you Mac users, don't kill me for that.

    I went to the Dell site, and there are so many options between memory, software, etc etc. geez.

    so...what are the 'musts' to get?

    I ask your advice...haters need not give ;)

    just looking for some help

                      With the Dell, be careful NOT ALL of them offer dual hard drives but it is or at least was an option on all of them.

                          The top three laptop brands with the highest initial quality and reliability are IBM, Toshiba and Apple. (According to Consumer Reports.)

                          I love my Toshiba laptop. My friend's Dell started having problems after about a year.

                          Are you buying from the consumer side of Dell or the business department?

                          Tech support for Dell business computers is great but the consumer support is staffed by unintelligible Indians.
