Got a friggin ticket last night - GoFuckYourself.com

My wife and I had just finished having some dimsum at a Chinese restaurant downtown and were going for a drive when I came to an intersection to make a left hand turn. The light was green and was turning yellow when I made the turn.

Then I saw the flashing lights of the cop in my rearview mirror.
He made me sit in the back of his cruiser with that stupid plastic partition in the back. He insisted that I had gone through a red light. I told him that I would not pay the 125 buck fine, that I would see him in court and that I had my wife as a witness.

I just hate being a mark for these fucking cops' nightly quota. I will see him in court. I am totally innocent. It willl be his word against mine. I have gone to court many times in the past to fight various tickets and won.

hows that work, no lawyer or anything - just tell the judge that you want a trial and you just go in an say you didn't do it and shit?

I represent myself. I go to court(the bitch is having to take time off work-but my wife's stepdad was a cop in the city here and he told her that cops hate having to go to court to fight these things so many times they do not appear, depending on the severity of the charge)and fight for my rights.
Years ago in Ontario I went to fight a speeding ticket and had the fine reduced to a dollar per kilometer I was over the speed on the highway. Came out to like fifteen bucks.

Here in LA the "bitch" (The Cop) gets paid overtime for going to court.

Same here in Montreal, cops don't show up on court, counts as 4 hours of overtime, so to save money, they keep the cops at dunkin donuts

Yeah well this is the first time I've really been innocent of the charge layed down on me. It really pisses me off with these cops and how they can abuse their power just because they need to get their quota for the night. How many else of you have been targeted like this when a cop needed to meet a quota deadline?

Never ever say "i will see you in court" i realize it seems like the right thing to say but the best thing to say is NOTHING, when you say you will see them in court they write more notes and make sure all the stuff they have on you is more thorough etc.... if you say nothing they dont even bother putting you in there notes and when you go to court they dont remember jack shit

I am going to court on Nov 15th for speeding and Feb 5th for speeding, first one 30 over and second one 40 over....... both on the highway (time for a radar detector heh)

Yeh you are right..but the fact of the matter is you are highly pissed off at this cop and this is the sole means of protesting your innocence and pushing the battle against him to a more level playing field, making him accountable for his grossly unfair abuse of power.
